Some of my hobbies are playing soccer, tennis, reading and watching about innovations in the field of technology, movies too. I’m KALYANGO JOSEPH aged 24years, a Muganda by tribe who hails from the central part of Uganda, Masajja division in Wakiso Disstrict. I am my DECEASED Mother’s only child and 4th among 12 on my fathers side. I have lived with my extended family for my entire life and this has taught me so much about life.
I am a committed and hardworking youth, passionate about skilling my fellow peers (youth) and helping them build sustainable wealth through agriculture, agribusiness and all ways possible considering Uganda is naturally endowed with a great weather and vast unoccupied fertile soils. My dream is to start up an agricultural export company that employs tens of thousands of youths and in the process alleviate poverty in my country. I equally have a profound love for the law.
In my spare time, I love watching soccer, movies (legal drama and series), playing chess, listening to music and reading books.
I am excited about the prospect of flying to a high income country where I’ll fully explore my potential and further my studies and dreams. I thank my Dearest lord who has and still leads my way, my relatives most especially my grand mother and friends that tirelessly pray for my success but most importantly, the Malengo team and foundation for this opportunity. I take his with both hands and I will live every moment to its fullest.

I am quiet, shy, kind and very reliable though most of my friends claim that am stubborn and jumpy. I am a hardworking and committed person who learns very fast despite the given conditions.
My family has always been my number one support throughout my education even now that I have been given this great opportunity to study in Germany by Malengo program. This will enable me achieve my desired goals and fulfill the long awaited dreams to study abroad.
Through my education I hope to help impact many to reach their goals, and be an inspiration to the young girls out there, especially in my home town.
Dorcas Nakato

I am a 20 year old Ugandan aspiring to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Germany. I finished my high school in 2019. I was not able to get the course I wanted in the universities that are in Uganda for sometime because of the grades I got in my finals until I got to know about this program. The opportunities and courses presented were so many and this encouraged me to apply to be part of the program which luckily enough I am a part of it now. The new journey is going to expose me as an individual both socially and financially. I believe it will be an exciting experience as I learn a new language, culture , environment and a different way of living generally. I would want every other person to choose their own path in life and actually get to achieve it when given the opportunity to.

I also love helping others and seeing them happy and smiling . This is because in my life, I have been helped by a number of people to whom I am not related. With this, I came up with the dream of being a health worker because I believe that through this, I can improve the lives many people worldwide.

I would describe my character as being an open minded person, loyal and honest to others and to myself. I am a very ambitious person and i hope one day I will get to change something about my country.
I am very grateful to my family, most importantly my dearest father who has labored to provide all I needed amidst all the challenges he has faced.
My hobbies are listening to music, i believe music is one of the ways of escaping your mind. I also love reading novels and books about character development. My other interest is psychology.

I am SSEKAMANYA PATRICK, a 21-year-old Ugandan student, a person with a great a sense of humor and with high moral standards. I am so honored to be part of the few students selected to this scholarship program to study and reach my goals of wish I had lost hope for so thanks be to Lord, and I cannot wait to be part of the German community. As a person, I like meeting new people, especially to get friends worldwide, and to be beneficial to the community. In my free time, my curiosity and eagerness in learning drives me to socializing, which comes along with activities like seeking for constant update (NEWS) across the globe, charting with friends and listening to music. I am also a passionate caretaker for others and a hardworking person.
I completed my Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education in 2020 at Masaka Secondary School which is so prominent, and people around see me as a devoted person to accomplishment of tasks that are assigned to me. I love the fact that I have opened up a new channel in my life due to the bilateral ties with the Malengo team that have made my lives positively unfathomable. I venture so much in Science to cure peoples problems but never at all underestimate the fact that GOD is above all and thus comes First in my Life. I personally never settle for less and always strive for an acme each day anew.
In my life, I have learned that there is nothing important as “Doing good to people”, because all the other things we strive for are vanities but putting a smile on someone’s face is all you need to make the world a better place just like the Malengo team is vividly doing it. I can’t leave out the fact that I like sport, board games and recreational leisure.
